Distilled’s Will Critchlow and SEOmoz’s Rand Fishkin, discuss the 4 most important factors to consider when starting out on Google+, in the video that follows.
#1 – Make sure that your Google+ profile is complete. Include contact details and other useful information about yourself. It’s also important to have a mug shot (preferably with a colorful background as people are more responsive to this).
#2 – Share content/ case studies with your circles, about topics that your target audience finds relevant and interesting. This will help build a rapport with them.
#3 – Use circles so that you can create a bias to your sharing. This way, you can share content only with the circles who will be interested in what you have to share.
#4 – No matter what you share, always have it linked to a colorful image – it draws more attention 🙂
