CEO and Co-founder of Hearsay Social, Clara Shih talks about what really works in social media and mobile marketing. Clara developed the first business application on Facebook and has also authored the book ‘ The Facebook Era’.
She mentions in the video that social media and mobile channels are growing in number as well as transparency. Both channels provide a huge opportunity and can be capitalized as primary mediums of marketing. They not only help in increasing reach, but also help in building strong relationships with customers.
Social media and mobile marketing accomplish the basic motto of marketing- ‘to deliver the right message, to the right person, at the right time’. They help in identifying hyper local needs of the consumers, and providing tailor-made solutions. This way, the consumers get what they need, and convert into customers.
Clara concludes by saying, advertising is at its best when it’s subtle and subliminal – in her words – ”to not appear like you’re advertising at all.”
